Party Leader - Dr. Ashok Jacob

Ashok is passionate about the NHS and believes that its founding principles remain just as true now as they did when the service was born in 1948.

He feels strongly that health care should be delivered locally, wherever possible, and that patients and staff should have a stake in the organisation.

He attended Edinburgh University where he received most of his training, before finishing in Glasgow, and has been a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician at St John's for over 11 years.

Although he has no political experience, he brings enthusiasm and determination to the Campaign to re-make St John's as a hospital of which the West Lothian community can be proud.

When not at work, Ashok enjoys travel, current affairs and swimming.
