Gordon,

Just a wee note to say something about the Action To Save St John's party.

We ran an article recently about the NHS saying that patient numbers have gone up and how important the hospital is to NHS Lothian and patients.

I didn't have the time to get any reaction locally to this but what I wanted to say was well done to Gordon, Ellen and John for keeping up the pressure on the NHS regarding the hospital.

While your methods may have been viewed as unorthodox at times, I'd argue they have been wholly effective and kept the issue in the public eye which is the most important thing.

The management at NHS Lothian will probably ensure the hospital is no longer downgraded just to spite you guys, so well done and keep up the good work.
